Students’ Voice

Maintaining the balance
between study and fun is important.

MORELLATO ANNALISA

From Torino, Italy

I am currently enrolled at a university in Italy, and I’m taking a short course at the school in Japan. I’m a Japanese major at university, but I wanted to learn first-hand here in Japan. During a short-term study abroad in Japan, studying is of course important, but I hope you do not forget to enjoy yourselves during your time in Japan.

It’s fun studying with friends
from all over the world.

KHANT ZIN HEIN
From Myanmar · Yangon

My reason for studying Japanese is so that I may get a job in architecture at a Japanese company in my country in the future. Communicating with Japanese people was the thing that I found the most difficult at first when I came to Japan. Now I have must less difficulties in doing so. I felt that it would be important to continue studying Japanese even when I return to my country.

If you want to learn a language,
studying in that country is the best!

MARKUS KAMELLOR
from Vienna, Austria

When I came to Japan for the first time, I loved the country and the culture. My favorite places are Tokyo, Osaka, Miyazaki. All classes are interesting, but I find studying Kanji the most fun. Also, the teachers and other staff members are really supportive. In the future I would like to take advantage of my language abilities in Japan.

For example, we celebrated our friends’ birthdays, we had picnics and so on… For my thesis, I am doing a study on Vietnamese people coming to Japan. There are lots of things to do such as job hunting and thesis, but I am working hard to find employment in Japan.

If you have a dream,
your life in Japan will be more fun!

In actual fact, I am currently working in Japan!!!! This is all thanks to the school and the teachers. At Tokyo Institute of Tourism, I was able to acquire professional knowledge through various classes and events at school and they were very helpful for job hunting. The teachers are very kind and there are also teachers who speak foreign languages, so foreign students needn’t worry too much.

Sandra Jockus

I initially came here with working holiday visa but my strong desire to properly learn the Japanese language brought me to System Toyo Gaigo. After completing the course at System Toyo Gaigo, I attended a fashion vocational school, and I am now working at Yves Saint Laurent. Sure, there some difficulties while working in Japan, but such hurdles keep me simulated. Most of all, to be able to work in the country I love makes me very happy. I especially love its seasonal events and cuisine. For me at least, there's no place like Japan.
